A Trip To Market Street
It was like an adventure with my family in search of market street.
My dad came home yesterday evening from Manila and so we decided to have our belated annual V.Day dinner.Since I haven't been to Naph dad's Jap restaurant,I suggested to dine there.
To our disappointment,Orchard road would be close due to the Chingay parade.Traffic was terrible because thousand and one vehicles were exiting from Havelock road(or something like that--it's a tunnel).In the midst of this,I was msg-ing Naph to find out the exact place of the restaurant and the name.She only told me "146 Market Street".
We reached market street eventually.Parked the car at a multi-storey carpark and combed the entire street but no sight of any Jap restaurant!Naph didn't pick up my calls,tried to contact Di,her phone wasn't on,phone Angel and alas some hope!
Me:Angel!!You've been to Naph father's restaurant right?Where is it?
Angel:Huh?Who are you with?Where are you?Why don't you call her?
[Obviously,she wasn't answering any of my questions.Because her name is Angel Beh.Means Blur by nature.]
Me:That's why I can't contact her.Wait!!Can you even remeber the name?
Angel:Errr..No.I only know if I am there.
I turned to my parents.On their faces were written,"Now what?"
Naph called that very second. *Whew
Actually,there are 2 market streets.We got a little confuse.Mixed up with the one at Boat Quay and the Raffles Place.Reached the restaurant starving,left feeling satisfied.The serving was so big.But with Alvin around,he will always finish up my leftovers. ((:
Later went to check out the Chingay parade.We manage to only catch a glimpse of human heads,the moon and stars.Left for home within minutes.Dad needed rest.
I wanted to go for the SAJC funfair.Decided to stay at home;common tests laa.
Last night,I tried to sleep without the radio on.I failed.Minn was saying that I am such a rich kid cos' the radio doesn't gets turned off until the next morning.Then how?Invent a radio that has some alarm to it so that it gets turned off automatically?I think I've heard of it...but where to get ah?
I am not spoilt laa.I am like anyone;anything.
Anything but ordinary. :D
