My Book And Me
Was reluctant to blog cos I typed a lenghty entry yesterday and hungry blogger chomped it all up again. It always does anyway.
No hard feelings.
I was wondering how my plant is in class. It's a can of magic beans that grows into a plant which later has words appearing on its leaves. Unfortunately, not the one you see in Jack and the Beanstalk. It's a birthday gift from Shao Yu. You can't imagine how thrifty he can be. Recieving a gift from him is like once in a green moon. The wrapping paper was used before and so are the scotchtapes. They appeared blacked and the ends of it curled. HEH.
According to Esther, my plant isn't doing any better than me. Lacking a lot of sunlight and maybe cos the owner's down, so is the plant.
I've finished reading my book. I almost wanted to gave up on it cos the word goddam was on every page. I was getting sick and tired of reading that word I felt like striking every one of them off when I come across them in future. I didn't. Books are my friends and hurting them would be the last thing I would do. x)
The author was quite an anti-Christ too. There was a part where the main character, Holden Caulfield, asked his Catholic friend whether Judas went to Heaven or Hell eventually. The Catholic answered hell (which was pretty obvious to me). Holden argued and insisted on Heaven cos he believes that God would forgive Judas and if not for him, there wouldn't be any way Jesus would get betrayed and die on the cross for us sinners. That really got me thinking.
Because books are considered as friends to me, they influence like humans. Thus, my writing and tends to be goddam the same when I am on a book.
I should start on some really good books. Shall stay away from unhealthy ones for now.
The Catcher In The Rye. Anyone?
