Today, or rather, yesterday was Kwan Yee's bday! I have so many friends who are January babies. Okay, no that many actually. Krystal's one is coming. I know that Miss World. :)

I miss Kwan. I miss JQ. I miss them because they used to help me tell plaits. And I can't tie plaits on my own hair for goodness sake. Don't ask me why.

Memoirs of a Geisha was well, errrrr....

a beautiful bore?

The book was a lot a better read than the movie I bet (though I only read some parts of it). It is not surprising to see that the movie was rated so poorly.

I must admit that the cast was good. The pretty yet cunning Hatsumono. Chiyo aka Sayuri speaking English in a profound Japanese accent. In fact, I learned quite a couple of things from the show:
01Tiny sized sumos are better compeititors than bigger sized ones
02How eels and caves can relate to us, humans
03The urge to master the art of stopping a men with a single look

Here's Hatsumono for you.
