Drats CNY is over ):
That marks the end of bai nian-ing, spending good time with relatives/cousins, reunion dinners, tang yuans, pineapple tarts, red packets, house cleaning, excuse to get new clothes, and most importantly, holidays.
I WANT HOLIDAYS!!!
I am a very happy girl during the CNY because all my relatives are very supportive and are encouraging me to take part in Miss Sg. MUAHAHAHAHA. That's such a desperate way to get on teevee! Whoops! I'd rather Sg's Next Top Model.
Speaking of which, Kyle from America's Next Top Model is out. I know how you feel. You must be cursing the judges under your breath now and probably calling up your lawyer to justify this matter. To a certain degree, this IS a serious case! How can Kyle be out of the competition? Such a waste. Such a pity.
Anyway many apologies to Yi Wen and friends/readers. Didn't realise you guys read my blog! Surprise surprise! (: So we all know now that the results are just next week. That's not only freaky but MEGA DOUBLE DOSE FREAKY!! Ack you get what I mean.
Scared. Anxious. Nervous. Excited. Anticipating. Expecting. Hoping. For. The. Best. We. All. Feel. The. Same. Sama sama.
During CNY, everyone (no kidding!) was asking me where I will be going upon graduation. I've another cousin too who is the same age as me but people ask me and not her because she is 567257842069 times smarter than me so we all know she is staying in AJ (she is there for her first three months). Moral of the story? You get attention even though you are not brainy. MUAHAHA. Okay I sound like Moses Lim from Under One Roof. (Dang I miss that show like crazyyyyyyyy.)
Digressing, as usual.
So back to the story.
Everyone (all about the same qns) : So where do you intend to go next year?
Me: Thinking of mcm.
Everyone (all about different reactions) :
01) No future blahblahblah.
02) Good choice blahblahblah.
03) Not good lah blahblahblah.
I am blessed with loving parents who are willing to devote their time to me and talk about my life, my plans, my future. :) They encouraged me to take up business studies and do marketing. Either in NP or SP. Didn't encouraged me actually, it was more of influencing and persuading.
Reasons why I should do business marketing instead of mcm.
01) Only 2 companies I see myself working for after graduating from mcm - Mediacorp, SPH.
02) Marketing is real, practical and interesting. (according to parents)
03) Business is not so hard to get into after Os.
04) Dad can help me in my work. It's his profession. Um, kinda.
Ultimately, my results would determine my fate. ACK. That sounds so sick. And scary! And frightening! I would like to trust God that despite the fear and anxiety growing in me each day as the time approaches for me to collect my results, I pray that He has paved a way for me. Regardless of good or bad results. AHH. I don't know! I feel so scared!
Went to NP today. I saw Jessica, Clarence, Jing Feng and Daniel. Hello! :) I was ecstatic when I saw GEN! I <3 her!
Okay I am at a loss of words now because...
I imagine myself together with the rest sitting in the hall. Behind us are the current sec 4 students watching. The principal walks into the hall. Greets and welcome us back and gives a speech that goes something like this, "Finally the day most of you have been waiting for. (like real) Congratulations to those who did well and for those who didn't, go home and do some reflection lah hor." He then shows the no. of passes and failures for each subject, comparing us to the previous batch with the use of the laptop (I think). He explains to us the bellcurve and how it works. He announces the top student and those who top individual subjects. Principal allows the teachers to distribute the results to respective classes. Ms Cheok (eewww), all dressed up and ready for a dance (anytime!), calls for so-so. Blahblahblah, and it's my turn! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
