Minds are clouded

I watched Xing AY played last night against Korea's shuttler and it was fantastic. Xing is 16 year old (mind you!) and she played really really well. Come to think of it, I was still happy celebrating and slacking away then when the Os were over.

Although we lost, as in she lost, she didn't let her opponent get an easy victory. Oh and by the way, Xing also let out cries of joy like nobody's business and does throw (obvious) punches in the air. Too bad if you missed it. I think there is a re telecast, is there?

On a happier note, the badminton women doubles made it to the semi finals and China born Tao Li clinched a gold medal in the 50m butterfly!! HOOORAY!

When I was in P4, I could never get my butterfly technique right even after months of training. The strokes made me feel restricted and uncomfortable. My best was freestlye. That's why I never took part in a medley relay. Anyway my instructor gave up on me also and haha, I was quite relieved about it. :D

A pity Joscelin Yeo didn't manage to bring back any medals for Sg. I was looking forward to her competitions. Well, I wouldn't say I was disappointed because she did her best. Personal best is good enough.

Not too long ago, there was a huge controversy regarding adopting foreign talents. The word they used then was "poaching". I really don't think there is anything wrong with grooming foreign talents and sending them as representatives for Sg. And these people who are actually making so much noise and critisicing, are they doing anything about it? No. Are they representatives of Sg in these games? No.

NONONO

So who are they to judge? Tsk tsk

Of course we do take pride in our own Sg breed athletes, Remy Ong and the team of bowlers and Vanessa Yong and the 2 Ser sisters, who gave a shot at the silver medal. ((:

All in all, I think we do need to practice equality. We should not look at others with the other eye and not give due respect beacuse after all, all glory goes back to Sg.

"Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Codemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven."
Luke 6:37

Do others what you want others to do to you! (:
