Ack. It's hard to imagine that Nov is long gone and we are in Dec already! Why oh why does time passes so very quickly?! Sobloody irritating. UGH I am so hating this.
Although I can't wait to celebrate Christmas, go for Youth Camp (at the end of Dec hols) and return back to school to see familiar faces and all, I seriously wouldn't object to an outbreak of epidemic disease like SARS or maybe Tsunami came and wipe out all the schools in Singapore. Right, I sound desperate. I AM DESPERATE!!!
Despite the limited time I have to prepare for the tests, I am still watching a lot of teevee. So I came up with a plan. I begin my night study at 23 00 and study till 04 00. All went well... UNTIL! I heard of the live telecast of the Asian Games at 23 30. Blame it on the The Straits Time life! section. Totally ruined my study plan.
Among all the competitions, I enjoy watching badminton the most. I remember taking part in an interschool competition when I was in primary school (badminton was my CCA then) and it was my first time playing against other schools and I was feeling excited and scared altogether. And guess what! I went into the semi finals and got thrashed like nobody's business. It was good experience though.
However what I realised was when I played, neither the opponent nor I let out cries of joy like what you see on teevee. We certainly didn't go "Ah!" or "Woo!" or whatever sound you hear. Ogay maybe we did say "yes" in a whisper but not to the extent of allowing your opponent to hear. It would be embarrasing if you "yes" so loudly and in the end, kua kua kua, you lost.
Anyway I respect the table tennis players a lot. And I mean A LOTTTTT because I find the sport hardest to play. It's seriously not easy with limited space (judging the size of the table) and the surface area of the bat (do you call that thing to hit the pingpong ball a 'bat'?) it'sbloody tiny. I played it a couple of times before with my brother and his friends and I think they all hated playing with me cos a single game would never last 3 seconds. Shame shame.
China may be topping the charts in terms of ranking but in my opinion, Japan is strongest. You watch them play and you will be impressed. Watching Jpn played against Kaz last night in the volley ball match made me realised that they have got really good team spirit. Anyway I didn't know volley ball matches only consisted of 2 players from each side. I thought it would be a whole throng of people like those amateur games you see in Sentosa.
Watching teevee is good. Especially now that the Asian Games are on, get to learn some general knowledge (at least that's what I call them). Study the flags haha!
We all know this is Japan

and this is Korea

but what's this ?

And another one...
This is SINGAPORE (duh!)

Pakistan

And this ?!

Hmmm talk about food for thought.
I WANT TEEVEE! YAY!
