Closures for new beginnings

HAIR-PEE NEU EAR EVERYBODY!
This is sucha late greeting but well, better late than never right?

Year 2006 comes and goes as one of the fastest years in my records. While everyone else does a whole long list of new year resolutions, I shall make a reflection of an eventful year that has passed:

January-March
Office work in Singtel was absolutely amazing with capital A. As cliche as it may sounds, I did gained a lot of experience: had office politics with the aunites and uncles, did mistakes in my work and heard the clicking of tongues, saw the shaking of heads and howcanIeverforget the rolling of eyes from the bosses. Talk about patience and loving your enemies.

March
The release of O level results and first leap of faith in YJC. I went there with no expectations and whatsoever. However, I prayed the night before the first day of school that God would truly send good friends along the way. It was a simple prayer and He gave me the best answers: Gen, Aiks, Mary, Josh, Sann, Sarah etc. Can I ever ask for more?

June
Church camp followed by ATC camp and the unexpected PBB camp. (for the clueless: ATC and PBB are GB camps. For the ultimate clueless-ers: GB stands for Girls' Brigade)
Church camp was good. I still remember the speaker, Clement Wong, who never fails to give a helluva sermon. Two Es: Enriching and Entertaining.
It was a huge sacrifice for me to leave ATC for PBB after all Di and I had went through together. Thus, I went there very grudgingly and God, my God that never cease to amaze me with people! I praise Him for giving me the PBB award. YAY!

July
Hannah left Sg to America to further her studies leaving me to lead the cell. I had to get out of my comfort zone from being the girl who waits for answers to questions in the materials to one that now feeds the other girls with answers. That sounds confusing. It took me quite a while to adjust and be comfortable with my position but yknow, God works wonders. Anyhoos, it did brought me closer to Him because it made me do my quiet time diligently either every morning before I go to school or night before I went to bed.

October
Finally Oral Presentation!
That was my official tormentor as a j1 I swear. Majority of the credits should go to Aiks for doing 95% work. Did I mention that we were in the process of preparing for promos as we did our OP?

December
Youth camp aka ICA camp! All the hard work paid off as the campers shared how much they enjoyed themselves in the camp! Cheers to Jesu, my fellow camp commandant for making it an enormous, mammoth, giant, stupendous, gargantuan and what-have-you success! He had been so obliging and understanding :D
God really ministered and revealed Himself to me and I went home with a faith renewed from the last church camp. Now, I don't just do one qt in a day but two! One in the morning and the other in the night! I can't get enough of my heavenly Father (:

For new year resolutions, I would want to learn how to thank God for everything He has in stored for me in the coming year. Even when the going gets tough and the tough doesn't get going, I want to continue to trust and praise Him for every circumstance He puts me in. Because I truly understand what it means to be a Christian: That God never promised a life a bed of roses but one that He would faithfully be with us through the storm.

Indeed, with Christ in the vessel we can smile at the storm *winks

We sure hope that the happy in happy new year comes true.
